Skull Creek Boathouse is part of Hilton Head Island history. Built in the early 1980s, the restaurant and outdoor bar were originally part of the Schilling Boathouse, once the largest dry dock boat storage facility on the Island. The restaurant went through a transformation several years later when it was expanded to become Boathouse II.

Around the same time the original Boathouse came to be, Steve Carb, President of The SERG Restaurant Group, opened his first restaurant, Giuseppi’s Pizza & Pasta on Hilton Head Island. As Giuseppi’s succeeded and The SERG Restaurant Group grew with new restaurants, Carb still dreamed of opening a waterfront restaurant on Hilton Head. In 2009, The SERG Restaurant Group purchased The Boathouse II restaurant and in keeping with its historical “Boathouse” name, re-named it Skull Creek Boathouse.

The restaurant has undergone a complete interior transformation, all while keeping the historical waterfront outdoor bar and history of fresh seafood in tact.

The SERG Restaurant Group welcomes you to Skull Creek Boathouse and its family of dining establishments, which includes Giuseppi’s Pizza & Pasta on Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and Macon, Georgia; The Fabulous Frankie Bones on Hilton Head Island and in Asheville, North Carolina; WiseGuys on Hilton Head Island; One Hot Mama’s on Hilton Head Island; The Lodge Restaurant & Growler Bar on Hilton Head Island and Black Marlin Bayside Grill on Hilton Head Island.
